Armchair PROUST by Alessandro Mendini for Cappellini

One of the best-known design pieces in the world, armchair PROUST was designed by Alessandro Mendini for Cappellini and was made entirely in Italy.

Created in 1978 as a piece for the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara for an exhibition entitled "Close encounters of architecture", within a short period, its postmodern soul captured the attention of amateurs on an international scale.

This re-edition of the iconic armchair features the traditional carved and hand-painted wooden structure with a multicoloured fabric that reflects the decoration of the structure itself.
