CH24 Wishbone Chair

The CH24 Wishbone Chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn, stands as an enduring icon of modern Danish design. What sets the CH24 Wishbone Chair apart is the craftsmanship involved in its production. More than 100 steps are required to manufacture each chair, many of which are performed by hand. One of its most remarkable features is the hand-woven seat, made from approximately 120 meters of durable paper cord. This not only adds to the chair’s longevity but also highlights its fine artisanal construction, requiring nearly an hour of skilled labor for just the seat alone.
