The Extendable Oval Tulip Dining Table by CTS Design combines the timeless elegance of Eero Saarinen's iconic 1956 Tulip collection with exceptional Italian craftsmanship. Its innovative extension system transforms the table from an elegant oval dining table into a larger entertaining surface, while the sculptural pedestal base maximises legroom and preserves the clean, minimalist silhouette that defines the Tulip collection.

Expertly made in Italy, this extendable collection is available in three sizes: 160/220 × 110 cm, 170/230 × 110 cm and 180/240 × 110 cm. Choose from premium ceramic surfaces by Dekton, Laminam or Florim, each offering exceptional durability, scratch resistance and effortless maintenance. The table is completed with a cast aluminium pedestal base with an internal cast-iron ballast and the central extension leaf is manufactured from lacquered MDF in a matching colour rather than ceramic. This solution is more practical for everyday use and significantly reduces the risk of damage. Ceramic is an extremely hard material but can chip or crack if the edges come into contact during opening, closing, or handling of the extension leaf. The colour-matched MDF leaf provides a coordinated appearance while ensuring smooth operation, greater durability, and easier everyday use.

The pedestal base comes in standard white, black or grey, each available in a matt or gloss finish. For a bespoke look, it can be lacquered in any RAL or NCS colour on request. Bronze, silver and gold options are also available in lacquered or brushed finishes.
