Pli Lamp

Born from the concept that everything begins with light, the Pli Lamp is a poetic exploration of material, form, and illumination. Designed by Felicia Arvid for Foscarini, this striking suspension lamp draws inspiration from the world of fashion, transforming light into an elegant gesture reminiscent of draping fabric.

At its core, a tubular structure houses two LED strips, around which a perforated sheet of the finest Italian paper is folded and pleated. Like a dressmaker shaping a garment, the paper morphs from a flat ribbon into a sculptural shade, its folds both delicate and architectural. The result is a piece that feels as light as couture, yet as precise as modern design.

The Pli Lamp offers a harmonious blend of direct, indirect, and diffused lighting. It casts light downward and upward, while its translucent paper diffuser allows a subtle glow to escape from the sides, enveloping the room in a warm, soft radiance. Functional details such as steel suspension cables, a matte white ABS ceiling plate, and satin-finish aluminium caps complement its understated elegance, ensuring the lamp feels as refined technically as it does aesthetically.

Both decorative and functional, Pli is more than a lighting fixture, it is a sculptural statement, a dialogue between light and material, fashion and design, softness and structure.
